ACE Feet in Motion
ACE Feet in Motion has been redefining foot health since its inception in 2001. As a Welsh pioneer of public-facing MSK podiatry service provision, our brand has continually evolved with advances in technology and research to offer market leading treatments for foot and lower limb injuries. Through decades of reliable, honest consultation we have built a solid reputation which has enabled us to forge respected collaborative relationships with global brands and some of the most recognisable sports organisations in Wales.

ACE prides itself on delivering exceptional patient care and specialised treatments across a spectrum of foot and ankle pathologies, by utilising innovative and cutting-edge technology. Our vision is to become widely recognised across the UK as a centre of excellence for lower limb injury prevention and recovery, treating members of the public and professional athletes alike.
Our facilities
Our recently renovated and significantly modernised Cardiff headquarters now benefits from an array of un-rivalled provisions including; inhouse orthotic manufacturing enabling our Orthotic Technicians to fit your insoles-whilst-you-wait, a 20 meter running track with 2 metre dynamic pressure plate analysis, an exclusive Run 3D and Walk 3D suite – providing the gold standard in 3D motion capture technology, multiple clinical spaces with combined healthcare-professional appointments available, and a lower limb targeted rehabilitation zone.
Additionally, we also offer musculoskeletal clinics at outreach clinics across the South West of England and a full range of chiropody services at all branches of our sister business, The Healthcare Hub
Our team
Our friendly team of dedicated staff collectively deliver our patient-centric approach to foot health provision. Our clinicians include experienced HCPC-registered Podiatrists specialising in either general podiatry or musculoskeletal services. Our award-winning customer experience is supported by clinical coordinators and administrators. Our in-house orthotic manufacturing is undertaken by skilled Orthotic Technicians and all prescribed insoles are fitted by trained Insole Technicians to ensure optimum fit and comfort.

Our story
Inception
In 2001, ACE Feet in Motion was established to provide high level biomechanical gait analysis. The founder – Bob Cooper, established ACE when he saw a gap in the market for a specialist podiatry company focusing solely in biomechanics and the provision of technology led clinics open to the public.
Our Reputation
ACE quickly established itself as an honest, reliable company and consequently grew in stature and reputation in Wales, becoming the first official supplier of podiatry to some of the UK’s top sports teams such as the Welsh Rugby Union, and Premier League football clubs. Other early partnerships included the Ministry of Defence, Emirates Airlines and the NHS.
In-House Manufacturing
As the clinical arm of ACE grew, there also became more demand for orthotic manufacturing. Initially this was to cover the needs of our own clinical requirements but this soon developed and with the help of our extended team of Podiatrists and Orthotists, we designed our own modular range of orthoses. The Feet in Motion insoles (better known as FiMs) were born, and very quickly became used by many Healthcare Professionals. For the more complex foot, the use of CADCAM (computer aided design computer aided manufacture) orthoses was also introduced. This allowed us to create a fully bespoke insole to cater for any foot type in any number of different materials, with an exceptionally high patient compliance rate.
Pioneering Orthotics
Building on the success of the FiMs we also developed and launched one of the first corrective insoles for children. The Paediatric FiM (which has since been rebranded as JuniorFiMs®) was created and quickly became the insole of choice for clinicians working with children with flat feet and other pathologies. In recent times, ACE has gone on to develop a series of other branded podiatry consumables which are distributed by affiliated partners.
MBO & New Ownership
In 2019, following a successful management buy out, third generational owners and siblings Paul, Tom and Hayley took control of the business and following a subsequent restructure, ACE Feet In Motion became part of The PTH Group. This family owned portfolio of healthcare brands boasts over 50 years of experience in the orthotic / podiatry sector with an overarching objective to improve access to affordable and functional healthcare products and services, to support the health and wellbeing of the UK public.
Continued Evolution & Expansion
ACE continues to evolve and expand its clinical services to encompass a range of options for the treatment, prevention and rehabilitation of the lower limb. The owners have invested significantly in a brand upgrade which has involved the complete renovation of the Cardiff headquarters, introduction of new technology and improved facilities. In doing so, they have surpassed the million-pound annual turnover milestone and continue to elevate the business in line with their ambitious strategic growth plan.
