Biomechanical Appointment Types
The Walking Assessment (Bronze)
The patient reports experiencing persistent pain in the feet and lower limbs, which significantly affects daily activities, particularly when walking or during work. The pain is localised to various areas, including the heels, forefoot, ankles, calves, and knees. The discomfort is described as a constant or recurring issue that interferes with mobility and overall comfort, both during routine activities and while on the job. The patient seeks evaluation and treatment options to address these symptoms and improve their ability to perform daily tasks without pain.
The Running Assessment (Silver)
The patient, an active individual engaged in regular running or sporting activities, reports experiencing pain in the feet and lower limbs during training and exercise. The pain affects various areas, including the Achilles tendon, plantar fascia, shins, knees, hips, ankles, forefoot, and heels. This assessment aims to thoroughly evaluate the patient’s condition, building on the standard bronze assessment by including a detailed analysis of running form and other key biomechanical indicators. The goal is to identify the underlying causes of the pain and develop a targeted treatment plan to alleviate symptoms and enhance performance while minimising the risk of future injuries.
3D Gait Analysis (Gold)
The patient is an active individual, particularly runners or serious walkers who are interested in utilising the latest technology to analyse gait and biomechanics from the hip down. Gaining data driven insights into the patients specific biomechanics. It includes a detailed evaluation of running form and other key indicators to help treat injuries, identify weaknesses and enhance your overall performance . The assessment generates an extensive amount of data, which is compiled into a detailed report. This report can be shared with other healthcare professionals, providing a comprehensive view of the patient’s condition and informing a coordinated approach to treatment and injury prevention.
3D Gait Analysis + (Platinum)
The patient is an active individual, such as a runner or athlete, seeking the most comprehensive assessment of gait and biomechanics. Building on the Gold Assessment, the Platinum Assessment includes 2-meter dynamic pressure plate testing, offering an advanced analysis of movement patterns from the hips down. This detailed evaluation identifies weaknesses, addresses pain in areas such as the feet, ankles, knees, and hips, and provides data-driven insights to enhance performance. The assessment generates an extensive report that can be shared with healthcare professionals, ensuring a coordinated approach to treatment, injury prevention, and long-term improvement.
