We know that certain injuries respond very well to loading.
Book an appointmentThe evidence tells us that for tendon related injuries such as Achilles tendinopathy, load is an important tool in recovering. When it comes to muscles and tendon injuries we must work on improving the tissues capacity to cope with load. Your podiatrist or strength and rehab expert will issue these exercises during your assessment.
Strength and rehabilitation can also play an important role in preventing injuries from occurring again. The evidence tells us that being strong can reduce injury risk, so make sure that you are carrying out strength work alongside your regular training.
If you believe strength & rehabilitation could help you follow this guide on how to get booked in.
Book an appointmentBook in for a foot and lower limb injury assessment. A detailed assessment will be carried and a treatment plan will be formulated.
If our podiatrist issues a strength & rehab programme they will often discuss this with you during your appointment. A copy of the plan will be sent to you via email which will include videos of the exercises and the frequency in which they must be performed.
Our podiatrists will use the Physitrack app which allows us to keep an eye on your progress. It also allows you to ask questions and update us with any issues you might be experiencing.
